A remark often heard by people who suffer from the disease “parkinson”. Certain brain cells break down. You can get it due to a short of dopamine in your brain, a substance that makes you feel satisfied. If you have a lack of dopamine, it can lead to the disease of parkinson.
So also my wife.
I am her husband, photographer, but also her caregiver.
On different times of the day, she feels trapped in her body. Her feet taped on the floor, impossible to move, stiff muscles, painful also.
Medicine has to been taken many times a day to increase the dopamine level with a sharp schedule of food production during that day.
She sees herself as a shadow, something out of her body.
In the future arise more problems, difficulties with breathing, swallowing food. No cure possible.
In my photographs i am trying to catch all this in metaphors.
Sometimes images of the past during more happy days, memories, dance, the viewer must use his own imagination.
