SEARCHING FOR MEMORIES

This photo series is an introspective view on the memories and tradition which influence our identity and sense of belonging, as well as the familial connections and dynamics that tie us together with ourselves and others. Searching For Memories is composed of selected photographs of my quaint hometown in Mindanao and my family adjacent to intimate shots of the clouds taken while I was away from home. Taken during the early days of the lockdown up until recently, the diptychs depict the overwhelming journey of reconnecting with a seemingly unchanging place that was once familiar and the vast spectrum of constantly changing emotions that comes with it.
