In 2020, photographer Hugo Faz took the challenge of making one nude self-portrait each day of the year — shot, edited and published on social media using only his iPhone and no clothes — as a means of exploring the limits and boundaries of self-expression in quick creativity. After the Covid-19 pandemic hit Brazil in March, Hugo's self-portraits became more and more reflective of his state of quarantine and isolation. Taken mostly in his parent's house where he spent most of the year caring for his elders, the images initially portray routine acts and tediousness but, as the year progresses, they show more and more his longing for breaking free of isolation. The 366 NuDays were completed at December 31st 2020 and are due to be published as a book.
