Home is a physical and mental place of contradictions. It is where one is at ease or uneasiness. Domestic life can bring joy or frustration; it can bring people closer or further apart. Those tensions are far more evident during mandatory confinement, in which individuals are faced with an uncomfortable stillness that denies any external escape to their fears and angst. In this ongoing project, I document the intimacy of my experience having a mixed anxiety-depressive disorder during the actual pandemic; I also explore visually how my home became the bearer of subtle signs for this inner battle.
