Submission

My work relies on the fact that I am largely self-taught. I cross back and forth from analog processes, including Polaroid, into digital, combining the formats and working with what I "don't know" and the happy accidents and discovery found in not caring what is "correct", whether in technique or concept. Combining elements of collage, flatbed scanning of assemblages and assembled items, photographs, objects, text , markings, hand-coloring, and any material at hand, high or low (sometimes preferred!). I work to build a narrative that is open to and indeed asks for the viewers' involvement, participation and bringing their own stories, myths, and metaphors to bear.
