Walter Benjamin can be considered one of the great intellectuals of the mid-twentieth century. Although he did not enjoy sufficient recognition during his lifetime, over the years many of his texts have gained relevance.
On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of his desperate escape from Nazism, I wanted to pay tribute to him with a work of photography and text. A work that contextualizes almost exactly that vital experience at the limit, from Banyuls to Portbou, crossing the Pyrenees.
