Camargue - Festival d'Abrivado

Camargue is a land of radical traditions and every seasons has festivals, recurrences, events, often related to horse which is the symbol of this part of France. Every year on November 10th and 11th gathers more than 2000 “guardians “ ( cowboys) and 1000 horses from all Provence to partecipate in this festival. Teams of ‘gardians’ put their savour fare to the test by leading a group of bulls to a 6km route on the beach of Saintes Maries de la Mere.
