Thobes & Creps (Sneakers in the mosque)

This project was done in a year, all shot on film and during my lunch hour on Fridays. It's lucky that Friday prayers is the same time as lunch. I have been praying every Friday at the Brixton mosque for over a year so the worshipers have seen me praying in the mosque therefore trusting me when they saw me with my camera. I even told and got the blessing from the Imam of the mosque about the project, I explained to him that I was trying to cover a story on Islam that wasn't negative, nothing to do with politics and just showing everyday Muslims expressing themselves. This is the reason I managed to get such close up images. Thank you
