Za'atari refugee camp

This was a self funded project all shot on medium format film. I traveled to Jordan and managed to get a two day pass into the Za'atari refugee camp, I mainly focused on the Champs-Elysées, the bustling central 'high street' in the camp. As a half Syrian I wanted to show how mentally strong these refugees were, I wanted to show how entrepreneurial they were. They were turning a negative phase in their lives into a positive one by opening businesses and making money for their return to Syria one day.
