Put simply, the aim of the project is to observe and explore how everyday Singaporeans interact with their surrounding environment within the context of street photography. In essence it is about producing work that reveals the reality of everyday life in Singapore. I see street photography as an avenue of curiosity that by extension can provide a unique insight to how different societies or cultures work or don't work. It is this curiosity that has influenced my project and subsequent interest in discovering true representations of the Singaporean way of life and exploring themes around national identity.
