Lucky is the name of the first black-and-white film I ever used.
It was also a feeling, the sense of being fortunate that the images survived the process and revealed something unexpected.
The photographs were taken in Tehran, moving between public and private spaces. They show fragments of the city: often empty streets, abandoned football fields, interiors, and moments of quiet tension. In one scene, a street performer holds a large snake in front of a small crowd; in another, a man paints in the street. In one image, I am also present inside the frame.
These photographs are not about spectacle, but about observation and presence. They reflect a personal encounter with the city and an early experience of working with analog photography, where attention, uncertainty, and coincidence shape the final image.
