For the last couple of years I did not have any editing software. It was difficult for me to see any creative talent in my photos, I felt flat and uninspired. I now have editing software and as I was reviewing old photos, and that's when I saw what I had been missing the whole time. The story of my family was right there. I got so much joy out of seeing the fleeting moments I captured; the subtle facial expressions, gestures, moments of connection between my two eldest boys who fight relentlessly. It allowed me to reflect on why I take photos. They do not have to be perfect or admired by everyone. This is my families story and this is them in 2019. I still do hope that some people get joy, or some type of emotion from them too of course.
