Solace in Kolavai

The project is based on how the people, their life, livelihood, and economy are intertwined with the soul of the lake. It signifies how water is their element and expresses their gratitude for its existence. All the photos were taken in a 2 km radius, taking the lake as the point of origin. From the perspective of the people, the lake is where life originates and ends. It is where they wash their sins away, find recreation, peace, solace, and solitude. It expresses their grief and gratitude in a minimalistic way.
