"I see U" is a visual story project about the health care workers and their routine in an ICU specialized in Covid patients in a public hospital in the south of Brazil. Their job is both physically and emotionally exhaustive and they have been working understaffed since the beginning of the pandemic, not to mention underpaid without hazard pay. They have also been working under full capacity for months. Though people often remember doctors when talking about health care, the ICU involves many other professionals, such as nurses, physiotherapists, janitors, pharmacists, dieticians and social workers. This project focus on the overlooked people who care and are around patients 24/7. Brazil has been the epicenter of the Covid-19 pandemic with over 480.000 deaths and data shows that it is not slowing down.
