Gaza -- Behind the Blockade

This series of photographs focuses on the resilience of the people of Gaza who confront some of the most difficult living conditions anywhere in the world. Since 2007, the people of Gaza have endured a blockade imposed upon them by the State of Israel. They have also lived through four major military offensives launched against them by the State of Israel including the most recent of May, 2021. Much of the world is indifferent to their plight and the Gazans remain a largely invisible and undifferentiated mass. This series of photos is a modest effort at revealing something of their plight while humanizing the people of Gaza in a way that few ever see.
