Slowly, but not so much and in any case we unstoppably consume, radically transforming, the places in which we live. The dramatic consequences of this excessive and continued consumption are now there for everyone to see, but despite this we continue to plan and promote new interventions in those few areas that today remain uncontaminated and therefore available. Alpe Devero is one of these, a magical place a few kilometers from Milan where time seems to have stopped in 1700, when cars and industrialization were not known themes. Today protected for its naturalistic and landscape value, located on the borders of the Veglia Devero Natural Park, Alpe Devero has for some time been the object of interest from private investors who are planning new invasive speculations that risk cracking the stable relationship that binds man and nature in recently rediscovered territories for a new and conscious tourism defined as sweet. Over the course of two years (2018 and 2019) I wandered through the enchanting places of Alpe Devero, breathing deeply the sense of well-being and freedom, wondering how the appearance of valleys, lakes and wooded slopes would change as a result of an invasive anthropization intervention. Many small cathedrals in the desert, forgotten details of a quick and superficial passage of a humanity that, just like any animal, cannot control its predatory instinct in front of an appetizing bite, with a too salty price, at the expense of those who come tomorrow .
