"Women, free to be", a different way of expressing a feeling against violence against women and with a beneficial purpose.
Beneficial because I decided to donate ALL the proceeds from the exhibition to charity to the association "D.I.re. contro la violenza"
Different because, after several comparisons and reflections, I wanted to represent, tell, not violence itself (although a "strong" image may impactful, the iconography of the woman-victim does nothing, I believe, other than to perpetrate a image to which we are almost addicted, now and unfortunately), but I tried to pay homage to women, telling their stories, with their words and my photographs, imagining opening a window that allows everyone (and many men in particular) to have an idea of the thousand facets of the "woman universe" and, above all, that it places the accent on the freedom to choose who and what to be, on their successes, the goals achieved, the victories and even the revenge achieved by women, precisely to highlight that women MUST be FREE TO DECIDE for themselves and that their decisions are respected and recognized on a par with those of men. an action, still largely unresolved, of abuse, discrimination, lack of recognition of the personal and professional value.
With my photos I tried to bear witness to the stories and commitment of those who made it: because they already knew their way, because they found it (alone or with someone's help), or even because he had the strength to "come out" into the open, or from a dangerous path.
