Through IFAD (International Fund for Agricultural Development) in Burundi, people started a chain of solidarity to fight poverty and hunger. Doctors Without Borders (MSF) are in Lesotho since 2006. The project is focused in diagnose patients with HIV/Aids and provide them a proper treatment. Over twenty percent of the country’s population is infected with HIV. However, the challenges are taking patients to get tested for HIV either at health centers or at their villages. In Nairobi, as in many big cities, food security is a major issue. To help improve this situation in Nairobi’s slums, Solidarites International organization started a project that teaches families how to produce their own food at home. They grow vegetables in a gardening sack, using a technique called vertical agriculture, which improves the productivity for little spaces. Mukuru slum, Kenya.

North of Kenya, a Maasai community is organized as a nature and wildlife conservation initiative. The income from the conservation area is used to improve the communities. Nevertheless, they still face some challenges. This Hollistic management project, from Il Ngwesi Conservation Area, consists in use the manure from the cattle as a fertilizer for the degraded areas.
