Kreuzbergs Finest

In April 2021, a registered demonstration of the so-called 'Querdenkerszene' led through Berlin-Kreuzberg. Besides people who only wanted to demonstrate against the corona measures of the federal government, some of the demonstrators were known right-wing radicals and anti-Semites. Antifa and many civic groups formed a strong resistance and blocked the demonstration on Mehringdamm street in Berlin-Kreuzberg. The Querdenker demonstration progressed only slowly and was repeatedly prevented from continuing by Berliners through sit-in blockades. In the course of the demonstration, there were repeated clashes between Antifa and the riot police, who were present in very large numbers. At Platz der Luftbrücke in the neighboring district of Berlin-Tempelhof, there was a scuffle in which a riot police officer fell on his service weapon. Ammunition came loose from the magazine and scattered on the street. The demonstration continued for several hours afterwards. Unfortunately, I had run out of film.
