My work during Covid seeks to examine how the world will remember the Pandemic and its effects from my own perspectives during the Chicago 2020 lockdown. Themes incorporated include isolation, political upheaval, revelation, new struggles and emerging voices.
Early in the Pandemic, I began photographing as a means to get out and walk, witness life during the lockdown and explore my surroundings. With the opportunity to observe and document as I walked my local neighborhoods, I viewed and documented life as the Pandemic brought on Lockdown, protests, and a choppy transition to everyday life.
My urban observations proved that those around me were experiencing the same; some with clarity and purpose, yet all in response to the shut down, new found voices and new realities.
