This is what's possible when a chef and a kayaker come together on Canada's wild west coast. The Salish Sea, home to the Tla'amin First Nations People since time immemorial, these calm protected waters east of Vancouver Island invite adventure. Clear water fed from glacial peaks, unspoilt inlets, home to salmon, bear, raven, eagle and so much more, where Turtle Island and forest meet the almighty sea. We are so fortunate to call this home. A kayak and picnic to sunset bliss. A two hour paddle to the rugged Ragged Islands, pull the kayak up for a rock jump splashing into paradise, swim, bake in the late afternoon sun, settle into a delicious picnic, relax and let this glorious nature in. If we're lucky whales swim by, we live in hope, soaking in Nature's glory. In the stillness and quiet, our connection begins. The majesty of it all, the vast universe, unspoilt nature as far as the eye can see, pondering the many miracles of life. Our existence, the magic of being here and part of it all. Filled with awe and gratitude. A delicious meal overlooking then a delightful paddle home in the sunset, floating on the tranquil colours of reds and pinks and blues. It's a day to remember. Once home, on a dark night, we might indulge in the joys of bioluminescence swim. Laying under the stars, jumping in the ocean delighting in the magic of it lighting up as we move and swim... Enjoy these images of adventure in Nature's Natural Glory. So grateful to live work and play on these sacred lands of the Tla’amin People. Thank you.
