Rodeo Life
It's 7 pm in a small Texas Town. The stadium lights have just come on adding a glow to fading daylight. The Rodeo is about to begin. In the summer of 2021, with air travel restricted by Covid-19, I loaded up an old Ford Pickup Truck and drove to 3 Small Texas Towns to photograph their County Fairs and Rodeos. These are the images and stories gathered from this month long project. My sincere thanks goes out to the people of Columbus, Brenham and New Braunfels, Texas who shared their stories and images based on a centuries old farming and ranching tradition.
