On a trip to Snowdonia in North Wales in March this year, I found all the streams and rivers were full of water after what has been a very wet winter in the UK. Water was everywhere. There is a beautiful, small stream, near the hamlet of Nantlle that I have photographed before on previous trips. It comes off the hills high above, runs through ancient woods and runs along the side of a small meadow. This time its descent from the hills was completely wild. The water was white with bubbles as it hurled itself through a narrow channel in the rock towards a lake in the bottom of the valley. My quest was to try and catch this wildness in my photographs and record the experience of getting up so close to this energy and exuberance.
