Flea markets are the homes for old dolls looking for love and attention. Once created to be an object of beauty and a receptacle for the love and attention of their owners, eventually they age and are discarded. Like people they age. Smooth skin cracks and opens, eyes droop and hair, once silky smooth, falls out or frays. Beauty turns frightful and these dolls sit keeping their own company rather than the company of young children, as they did long ago.
