Dis-connect

Dis-connect: fragments of time and space, captured with a camera phone from a mini-bus hurtling through the streets of Bangladesh. The series highlights the plight of modern-day tourists: we're voracious consumers of cultures, yet we often remain isolated, remote, and suspicious of each other. We rarely engage with the people we have travelled so far to see, and return home with disjointed narratives of our experiences. Yet, amidst the chaos, the camera records moments of empathy, connecting people across the globe.
