A few years ago while traveling back from vacation, I wondered if what I was looking at was the truth. There are things the naked eye can't see - what if light and shadow can allow us to see something else that an object or scene is trying to tell us. I picked up the iphone when I saw a strong contrast of a tree, sky, and horizon then took a picture. I converted the image to monochrome and increased the brightness. What I saw was what I had been looking for. Something new and different. Another way to see the world. My kids had talked about this "instagram" app. Through much fumbling, I landed on a platform to share my exploration of light and shadows with others.
