My late dog, Casey, had a profound impact on my love of photography, and in particular shooting black and white film and printing in a darkroom. Just as we enjoyed the messiness of our hikes together, I was drawn to the potential for the same through the imperfections of darkroom printing. Casey took modeling and filthiness very seriously, and always knew when to be stoic, silly, and everything in between.
We spent years visiting the same conservation land together, and all of these photographs were taken there. This is where Casey reinstilled my love of black and white film photography and darkroom printing.
