Tierra Maldita

"Tierra Maldita" is an epic, and poetic photo travel- log that documents my journeys through southamerica. Having in the back of my mind the colonial times, as a landmark in all latinamerican identity, i describe these geographic spots as a cursed land, where a lot of great violence happened but yet gave the chance for a new culture and magic to emerge. I used photography as a way to explore playfully through encounters with people and places, and my own imagination, my own identity as Latinamerican. Using magical realism as a tool, i create surreal images that ressemble those ones i remember finding in the latinamerican novels as a child.
