Starting in the summer of 2019 “Life by the sea” is a continually growing and large body of work which is intended to document the places, people and environments, to not only record them. Provoke thought and document the changes brought to a post Brexit and COVID pandemic United Kingdom.
Since the conception of the package holiday, cheaper air fairs, freedom of movement and child friendly resorts, family holidays by the seas at home in the U.K. have seen a huge decline. In turn this changed these once vibrant seaside resorts not only for the visitors but those who call them home, less visitors brought less investment, jobs and wealth.
But will the changes since 2020, create a new opportunity and a return to British Seaside?
