The Auction

This series is a historical documentation of a cultural phenomenon, a typical farm auction in rural Ontario, Canada. The participants are largely local Mennonite farmers looking for an opportunity to increase their land holdings or to buy a needed piece of equipment for their own place. It is a very serious event, with lots at stake, and that tone is reflected on the face of the participants.
