Contrasts of the lake

The Lac du Bourget, cradle of romanticism thanks to Alphonse de Lamartine, is surrounded by mountains. This geological feature generates strong contrasts when the sun is already hidden and there is still a lot of light. A contrast is a delicate opposition of things that can surprise by the harmony created by their juxtaposition. A contrast is not an opposite but a sober protest a friendly opposition. When marked, they make it possible to combine the opposites and highlight what is different, just as our life is made of opposition and differences. Contrasts can be created by a multitude of different things such as exposure to light but also by differences in materials such as the roughness of the bark of a tree and the smooth surface of water. The contrasts of the lake are an allegory highlighting differences and oppositions but which can create formidable harmonies. In my photographic approach, I seek to propose a particular look, a different angle of view composed of light and shadow, smooth material and other rough but also some that are in the light and others in the shade as is built our life and the world around us. It is also a hymn to differences, the light that is ahead of me the shadows or the black that values the white.
