This set of pictures is the centerpiece of my visual love letter to the city I’ve lived in my whole life. During the pandemic, homeless people became especially visible – so I took the opportunity to explore as many real moments from their lives as they would let me. At around 4:00 am, every day, I’d head out to Penn Station with a pocket full of $5 bills to give in exchange for a picture, although sometimes they were more than happy to just pose for me, gratis.
