I've always enjoyed stopping to savor the never-ending beauty of the so-called mundane objects and scenes of life, often called 'the simple things' just in the visual sense and through the lens of my camera. I acknowledge these objects, scenes, etc--and they me--once I stop trying to see them and just "be" with them, in that moment. The photographer Minor White said it best: "When you approach something to photograph it, first be still with yourself until the object of your attention affirms your presence.
