Internally Displaced People

As a result of the security forces operation in the North Waziristan Agency (NWA) of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), over 800 000 individuals from the area have been displaced and settled in the neighbouring districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) province mainly districts Bannu, D.I. Khan, Lakki Marwat and Tank. The displaced people are temporarily settling mostly in the host communities in district Bannu and a small proportion in the IDP camps established in the hosting area. The local people of Bannu accommodated all these people in their houses and took care of them with passion and love. It was a rare scene in modern times when the local people have done so much sacrifice to help their fellow countrymen. This is a collection of few images I took when I was there for Eid Celebrations.
