To me, infrared photography is not a special effect like some Instagram filter, it is a different way at looking at photography and light and the world itself. Capturing the image is a small part of the process, the bigger part is interpreting the final image. The raw infrared image is like a score to a symphony, and the final image is like a performance. The process, for me, merges photography and painting together in a sense, because the palette of colors are much more fluid and must be chosen by the photographer.
