The Actor Series

This series was inspired by a lecture I attended given by renowned National Geographic photographer Sam Abell in which he stated that what he believes makes a great photograph is a combination of Setting, Expression and Gesture, which is not dissimilar to Cartier-Bresson's "Decisive Moment". With this in mind, I started a portrait series using subjects that are trained in the art of expression and gesture, i.e.: Actors. The setting is identical in all photos so that what makes each image in the series unique is what each actor brings to the table. So far I've completed 6 of the 20+ portraits in the series which will ultimately become an exhibition.
