Street Food Project
Tell me what you eat ... I'll tell you who you are!
Food is an art! And also one of the best vectors to understand a culture, one person, one language ... A taste passport to interfere in a country and even a heritage!
Gildas Paré, food photographer, focuses on the evolution of morals, but decides to question more specifically a global phenomenon: the "Street Food".
Full of curiosity and a lucid attention Gildas decided to question our social and culinary practices in the urban landscape, to observe the changes in our society and so lift the mask of "anonymous eater street ".
For a brief moment, the street turns into curiosity cabinet, leaving room for any type of questioning: Where? Who ? What ? How? What for ? When ? The opportunity to watch a never eating in the street like anonymous. Ideally, each portrait could stand on its own, an anecdote, a social class, location, motivation ...
And it is like August Sander, or more recently Rineke Dijkstra, Gildas wishes to conduct a series of portraits as an anthropological inventory. This inventory, both artistic and educational, Gildas wants to make it grow, extend beyond the French borders.
With his portable studio, with the street as observation laboratory, it aims to highlight all social strata, the human figure of Street Food.
The ambition of Street Food Project, in addition to discover the flavors of different countries, is truly weave a portrait at once cultural, heritage, social and architectural of the four corners of Europe and the world... And so, capture the face an time...
Project to be continued ... In search of financing to fill the work on the international.
