In this ongoing series, I explore the fluidity and motion of the sea and its relationship with the unwavering rock formations of the Pembrokeshire coast. When captured at the right moment, the patterns of light accentuate the edges and curves of the rocks in such a way that they appear alive; almost volcanic and like the water, kinetic in their own way.
The raw energy of the waves and their rhythmic dance around the seemingly motionless stone creates a powerful juxtaposition. The effects of which emphasise the passage of time. Here, I have tried to capture the story of two primordial forces which over millennia have helped to forge this stunning stretch of coastline that I am fortunate to call home.
