General Entry - Emerging Talent Awards

Adventures in a Suburban Garden Cultivated and wild plants compete against each other to dominate the landscape. Referencing still life painting compositions of plants and modern science fiction stories, the images were created using a domestic scanner on location - the plants pressing up against the glass alongside garden dust and debris. The movement of the plants is recorded as a ripple fringed with chromatic aberration, giving the appearance of being suspended in water and refracted light.
