Endangered

There is an ever-increasing pressure on wilderness to accommodate Africa’s population, which is expected to grow by 2 billion by the end of the century. The cost is a loss of habitat for Africa’s wildlife. When a species loses its habitat, it becomes extinct. “Endangered” is a project about conservation. Each collage features an African species on the brink of extinction. Since 2016, I’ve worked in the African diaspora to first captivate, then educate the viewer about the critical need to coexist with endangered wildlife. If our wildlife dies, our planet dies.
