This series was made from photos taken in July 2020 on the island of Reunion in the western Indian Ocean. The work of colors allows the metamorphosis of an already extravagant tropical plant diversity. In this work, the particular and intimate emotion of having returned thirteen years later to this island where I lived for five years, the fiction allows me to break my nostalgic link to the past and to anchor it in a new perspective.
This series Fictions végétales is also a desire to present a phantasmagoria in the face of the uncertain future linked to climate change and the destruction of biodiversity. When allowed to regenerate, nature becomes abundant and exuberant. This series is an invitation to free our positive and creative energies and to rethink our relationship with nature.
