The Witness Tree

“The Witness Tree” is a documentary project about the impacts of climate change. Drawn to precious and precarious places that mark the shifting boundaries between nature and the effects of our not-so-natural disasters, my work is driven by the dialogue between people who are rooted to their lands, but are (sometimes) innocently uprooted from them. I have photographed and interviewed citizens and climate experts on every continent. Although many of the places I visited were beautiful, the stories were not. Through a comprehensive "Witness Tree" website, presentations, exhibitions, and interactive workshops, I am translating climate concerns into climate actions.
