Botanicae

Botanicae is a collection of plants and trees photographed in-situ using only morning light. All plants were "discovered" on the streets and parks in the bay area. Each image is accompanied by the subject’s Latin name, its country of origin and its “found” San Francisco location in classic calligraphy. The Botanicae series is part of the artist’s ongoing exploration into the relationships between humans and their control over nature and a created narrative.
