Once upon a time... The rich tradition of Norwegian fairytales and folklore follows me when I wander in old Norwegian primeval forests. I am wondering and thinking of all the supernatural (or natural) beings that populate the forest. Different kinds of trolls, underground beings, spirits and other lifeforms that has a lot of different names in Norwegian that is not easily translated into English. Nobody really know how they look. The circumstances these beings are living in are different from humans. In the forest they live under moss, in trees and in stones. Time has another rhythm. Old wisdom says it's important to respect nature and live in harmony with different forms of life. Humans are not positioned above nature, but are a part of it. When I'm wandering and wondering in the forest I'm not afraid, I am filled with awe.
