Taken on the eastern suburbs of Rome (Italy), these images are part of a two years ago started project, a journey through my childhood memories. Today, like yesteday, in the hardness of the fields i rediscovers the values embraced by my grandfathers. Stories of humility and determination, all of my work turn around close up portraits that cancel the distance between subject and observer. Marked faces and small wrinkles, passion and sacrifices full of light. Zero filters, the passion of red, the hope of green and whiteness of blue, the composition and metaphor is very important for my photographic approach but the use of primary colors, with no flash, allows me to express the authentic dignity of subjects, a fine line between reality and poetry, the all images common element.
