When my son was one and a half years old, hematomas began to appear on his body. After some time, it became known that he had an autoimmune disease of the circulatory system. It takes more than 4 weeks from the moment the bruise appears until it disappears. During this time, its color changes from dark purple to light yellow.
The son loves to play hide and seek at home and on the street. At these moments, the fear of losing him. My world was filled with anxiety and expectation that new hematomas will appear, which can lead to irreversible consequences.
I do not want my son to look at this world through his illness. That is why I paint the lesions on his body, taking inspiration from the color photographs of the nebulae.
I want to believe that in these moments my son does not feel vulnerable.
