The Roma slum of Svinia is in the eastern part of Slovakia. Almost 700 people live there, most of them are underage. Most families in the slum have lots of children, because they get money from the government for every child. The children go to a special school only for Roma. The girls have to start with the prostitution at the age of 8 to 12 years to earn money. For they boys, there are no rules. Usually they start early drinking too much alcohol or taking drugs like sniffling glue. It is almost impossible for them to get out of the slum and have a normal life.
