Whether you were born with the disability or developed it later in life coming to terms with your disability and becoming comfortable with yourself is a never-ending battle. You never know when an incident might dredge up old painful memories or rekindle the flames of self-hatred and doubt that you once thought to have buried. Simply coming to terms with your disability is a momentous challenge, but some push beyond these boundaries and redefine what one can accomplish disabled. The Only Friends Sports Center Wheelchair Basketball Team provides a friendly place for disabled people of all ages to come to play basketball, have fun, and reconceptualize the boundaries of their disability. Each player is a testament to the strength, stamina, determination, and sheer willpower. Each and every one of them propel themselves beyond the boundaries of their disability.
