This photo was taken by calling out to people who visited a cafe in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture. In Japan, in recent years, due to the digitization of portraits and the spread of SNS, the subject may be disadvantageous, and the number of people who feel uncomfortable with being photographed is increasing, making it difficult to shoot.
We have become able to interact in various ways without actually meeting on the Internet. However, it can be said that it is difficult to gain the trust of the person in front of you because it is difficult to actually shoot by calling out. We have more interactions across areas, but I think only surface connections are expanding.
Portrait photography is completed with the photographer and the subject. What is needed in the process is mutual communication. People unconsciously sense a large amount of information such as the voice, atmosphere, and detailed facial expressions of the other party. Encounters with people cause chemical reactions and create a new world in the true sense of the word. This is a deliverable.
