"Ain't Suga Cute"

“Ain’t Suga Cute” is exploring and understanding my grandmother’s life through my eyes. “Ain’t Suga Cute” is what my grandmother would say when talking about someone special to her. Her name GrandFran symbolizes happiness and royalty. My relationship with GrandFran is monumental and loving. This project explores how I identify her life and her story. Being in her space and my space, allows us to have more conversations over race, beauty, fashion, and heritage.
